Great cover photo. Two questions for you: Have you ever submitted an article to "Italia" magazine, which is UK based? The magazine has short articles about various regions & towns each month. Second question is an oddball - Are you a big baseball fan? I ask because the name of your newsletter. "This Week in Italy" always make me think of the old "This Week in Baseball" with Mel Allen. Reading your notes with the theme running through my head doesn't go with the subject matter, but it's amusing anyhow. Here is a link to the theme music - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBeD74f5_6w
Take care, Dave

My e mail is bobnordvall@hotmail.com

The two local newspapers are Il Tirenno and La Nazione.

Pistoia apartments are cheaper than Florence, but not cheap. Once you start to move out of town (especailly toward the small communities in the mountains) , the prices, of course, go down but also the convenience is less.

Hello Bob,

I was hoping to look into apartment, cheap apartments - one room - to live in - soon - in Pistoia for two months. I will be taking painting lessons from an instructor at Florence once a week. But I would love living in Pistoia for that time. I have been living in a Hostel outside of Pistoia and, though cheap, it is a bit rough to manage my painting time and life in a way which best suits my painting quality. Any thoughts about finding a very cheap, not pretty but functional apartment in Pistoia? Or possibly around that area?

Any help would be appreciated! Also, what is the name of the local newspaper there?
